2010 Cabernet Sauvignon

Lifted red and black fruit aromas with a rich overlay of dark cedary and chocolate oak. Rich, dense and concentrated flavour profile typical of Wilyabrup with mulberry, cassis and rich chocolate. 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has intense flavours due to controlled yields in the vineyard and has been aged for 12 months in the finest Remond French oak barrels. The aroma is lifted with dark cherry and cassis enhanced by cedar and vanilla notes. The palate shows lovely primary fruit and attractive soft yet sinewy tannins, which will become yet softer and richer with bottle time. Reap the rewards with patient cellaring.

The palate has a medium level of fine tannins, medium-high acidity and plenty of expressive flavours that are just beginning to turn from primary fruit to an evolved Cabernet character. The finish is long. Drinking now, it should keep to 2014+."

15 months in French oak. Great colour - crisp, clear, purply red with good depth. The nose is quite full of primary fruits, tannins are mild spice and vanilla and it has quite good depth in the fruit, the blending shines through.

This wine has a bright and fragrant bouquet of cut grass, lemon curd and minerally undertones. A fine and delicate palate displays fresh citrus and stonefruit flavours. Partial barrel fermentation in French oak hogsheads has given the wine a long and persistent finish.

The palate is fresh and racy showing tropical and stonefruit flavours. The barrel-fermented portion gives a nice creamy richness that adds to the complexity of flavour in this wine.
